Shilese Jones had a heartbreak at the Paris Olympics trials. The gymnast was all set to get her redemption for not qualifying at the Tokyo Olympics. As she warmed up for the vault competition, she injured her left knee. This made her take the decision to compete only at the uneven bars. However, despite scoring 14.675 in the category, she had to withdraw from the trials eventually.
This is because she had torn her ACL and meniscus, cutting her journey short. She later uploaded a statement on Instagram telling the world how devastated she was and how she has tackled a lot of obstacles in her journey. But, in the end, she made it clear that she will now concentrate on participating in the LA Olympics. “You will see me on the road to LA 2028,” she said. Now, it seems she has finally started this journey.
In a new Instagram video uploaded by Shilese Jones on October 21st, she uploaded footage of her training at the gym as she prepared for her comeback. The gymnast looked quite decent as she performed the bar routine without any disturbance caused by her injuries. There was also an interesting thing in the video, as it was sponsored by Accelerator Energy Drink.

At the end of the video, after performing all her moves, she looked at the camera and said, “I need an accelerator,” thus promoting the brand. However, her fans cared more about the fact that she seemed to be back in the best shape.

Another fan said, “We can’t wait to see you back out there! 🙌” Shilese Jones has been missed a lot in her sport. Many thought that she was one of the prime contenders to make it to the Paris Olympics. In fact, she seemed the US’s best bet to win a medal at the competition other than Simone Biles. However, once she returns, Shilese could finally strive to make an appearance at the Olympics. Thus, fans can’t wait to see her back.
