Securing their highest program score in a stellar performance at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, the Tigers, ranked No. 5, showcased their dominance. Leaving a little room for suspense, they triumphed over the No. 7 Arkansas Razorbacks with a score of 198.475-196.200. On this LSU gymnastics posted “Talk about a Tigers Win” on their X handle. They even added, “No. 5 LSU took down No. 7 Arkansas and recorded the HIGHEST score in program history”.

The evening began with LSU demonstrating their prowess on the vault, tying a season high with an impressive 49.525. Led by Haleigh Bryant’s outstanding 9.975, which included a perfect 10 from one of the judges, the Tigers set a formidable tone from the start. Meanwhile, Arkansas encountered difficulties on the uneven bars, facing a series of subpar scores and a fall from Maddie Jones, ultimately yielding an event score of 48.175.

LSU’s momentum only intensified on the bars, as they surpassed their vault score with a remarkable 49.550. Sixth-year senior Savannah Schoenherr clinched her first victory as a Tiger with a stellar 9.95 performance, closely followed by LSU freshman Konnor McClain with a 9.925. However, the impressive performance was proof that the LSU Tigers’ previous loss could not impede them from achieving victories.
