Is the NFL schedule too demanding, forcing players like Jonathan Owens to miss personal milestones?

Jonathan Owens has always been Simone Biles‘ biggest cheerleader, and we all witnessed a glimpse of his devotion during the Paris Olympics! But after the couple returned to the States, it’s now the 27-year-old’s turn to cheer her hubby on. She even made it to one of the games, sporting a walking boot and Owens’ face all over her jacket.

However, with the Gold Over America Tour inching closer, the Olympian has been busier than ever. The Chicago Bears will soon lock horns with the Houston Texans on Sunday. But will the gymnast be watching her husband from the stands? “I wish. So actually her tour starts Monday, and we play Sunday evening. So it’s kind of a tough turnaround,” the 29-year-old stated on a September 13 episode of ‘Sippin’ with Screeden’.

The Chicago Bears safety also revealed his tight schedule. “Then I have to get back to California. It’s like a 4-hour flight.” When asked if his wife could make it to the game, Owens replied, “Oh yeah, she’s going to be locked in for a second. Baby got to work.” However, it can reasonably inferred that Owens misses Simone Biles’ presence in the stands. Even though the two have immensely packed schedules, have the love birds found a way to make this work?

Jonathan Owens’ smile seemed to confirms they have! The second edition of the Gold Over America Tour starts on September 16 in Oceanside and visits 30 cities this time. However, the tour does stop by Chicago on September 29. “She’ll get to come to the game, they’ll watch the game at 12:00,” the 29-year-old stated.

However, Simone Biles won’t be the only one who gets to play the supportive spouse. “And then boom, 7:00 p.m., I’ll get to go and watch her,” after his game, Owens will be making his way to watch the Olympian and Co. flipping and tumbling at the United Center. Being apart hasn’t been easy, and Owens thinks this time together will be “pretty dope.” But the gymnast has previously talked about their erratic schedule. What does she think of the long distance?

Simone Biles braces herself for another successful edition of the tour

After an incredibly successful redemption tour in the French capital, the gymnast was back home getting some much-needed rest. However, that didn’t last too long since she had to prepare for the Gold Over America Tour. But when FOX 26’s Caroline Collins caught up with her, the Olympian revealed how the two would have to be in a long-distance situation for a bit“I think we go to 32 cities, so I think that’s a lot. I think they have an 18-game season, so we’ll definitely overlap them.” She then stated how that was okay.

However, the power couple have found a way to make it work. With her stop in Chicago, the two get to spend some quality time with each other after their events. Do either of them have a bone to pick with their situation? Not according to the Olympian. “We understand that when we’re not supporting each other, we’re still doing our own things.” This mutual understanding makes their time together “so special.” Owens’ excitement about seeing his partner in Chicago radiates that as well.
