The US Olympic gymnastics trials in Minneapolis drew the first blood as gymnast Skye Blakely had to bow out from the contest because of her injury. As per the update, the 19-year-old gymnast faced the wrath of an Achilles injury during her podium training, just before the main event. It came in while she was trying to shape one of her tumbling passes. The injury was so heavy that she needed a wheelchair to escort her, and the medical team took her away from the podium. Thus sobbing, Skye Blakely had to give up on her Olympic dream for this time. But she has promised to return with a bang in the future.
Later, through an IG post, the former world champion wrote, “I’m going to keep my chin high and be proud of the statement I have made for myself these past couple years. I’ll be back”. This mindset has received a lot of cheering from fellow gymnasts, as in the same IG post, they have lined up to post their wishes for Skye. The Tokyo Olympics all-around champion Suni Lee wrote her heart out for her compatriot. The beautiful message has conceded, “so so soo proud of you🥺 praying & thinking of you”. In her good wishes, Carly Patterson, the sporting legend, has consistently kept the same tone.
“I’m heartbroken for you Skye and sending all the prayers❤️You are such a bright light and an amazing role model. God’s got you and I can’t wait to see how He works it for good and your story🫶🏼 Love you❤”, her message has displayed. Surely, Suni will be missing competing against her. She had to settle the score against the gymnast from the WOGA camp.

However, she had to lose the battle against Simone Biles. But the competition set her up among the probable names for the American team for the Paris Olympics.
While shooting the top title in the senior division in the Xfinity games, Skye scored 113.850 securing her second position. In the meantime, Simone Biles confirmed her top position with a score of 119.750. But that may not tell the full story.
