All the fame in the world can’t stop Simone Biles from enjoying her life to the fullest. Riding high on stellar Olympic success, the gymnast has been on a partying spree ever since she hauled three gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. While controversies surrounding the relationship between the Houston native and her birth mother Shanon Biles continue to throw shades on the gymnastics icon, Simone isn’t one to stay in the shadows and away from giving fans updates about her extravagant lifestyle. And now, it looks like Olympic bronze medalist Ilona Maher has also taken a page out of Biles’ books.

Twenty-eight-year-old rugby sevens star Maher, who secured a bronze medal in the City of Love, is still coming to terms with her latest achievement. With that in mind, it seems the Vermont native is ready to unleash her inner madness onto the world as she takes a new step to engage more with her followers.

The Quinnipiac University alum recently signed up on Threads, a social media platform under the Meta umbrella. As she made her way into the domain, Maher seemed curious as to just how much she was allowed to let her hair down on Threads. “So I just say sh*t on here?” reads the caption of her first post on the platform, evidently suggesting that Ilona is testing the waters before showing her true colors for her fans to behold.

The country’s most decorated gymnast of all time Simone is also on Threads and her quirky posts from time to time leave her followers gasping for breath with their humor. Unsurprisingly, fans were also quick to show up with all sorts of suggestions for Maher, assuring the rugby star that she can essentially lift the lids on her explosive personality as much as she wants without holding back on speaking her mind.

While Ilona settles into her new social media outpost, Simone continues to celebrate her own Olympic triumphs at every chance she gets. And she hasn’t been scared to put her health at risk either.

Simone couldn’t contain her glee, and rightfully so

Biles loves herself some alcohol. With the 2024 Paris Games turning out to be just the kind of redemption tour she was hoping for, Simone made sure to mark her feat in the most elaborate way possible: by partying in the City of Love with no holds barred. Right after her golden achievement in the French capital, Biles hit the bars with her friends and family, and the group was seen letting the drinks flow. “I know tequila hate to see me coming,” wrote Simone on her Threads post earlier this month, hinting that she was about to embark on a partying ride of epic proportions. And unsurprisingly, she also had to pay the price.

The alcohol and the celebrations took their toll, and Biles was soon back on Threads to claim, “I’m never drinking again.” While it remains to be seen if she can hold on to her words, Maher on the other hand looks eager to interact with her followers on the same platform as Biles.
