“But since I am older, I am a little bit more afraid.” After bowing out of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the stakes were higher than ever for Simone Biles. Sure, the gymnast had triumphantly returned to the mat, but she wasn’t going to take her return to the world’s biggest stage lightly. The world watched the 27-year-old reeling from the experience shortly before the Summer Games commenced in Part 1 of Netflix’s docuseries Simone Biles Rising.
In Paris, she reclaimed her throne as an Olympic champion by taking home 3 golds and 1 silver. And the Netflix cameras were there to capture it all. While the G.O.A.T. is excited for the second part to grace our screens, someone else is just as hyped! Any guesses? One of the gymnast’s biggest (albeit tiny) cheerleaders, Ronni Biles, can’t wait to watch her ‘TT‘ on-screen again. In fact, she was celebrating the anticipated release at the World Champions Centre (WCC).
Sammi, Simone Biles’ sister-in-law, shared an adorable snap of the tiny tot on her Instagram Stories. She captioned the image of baby Biles sitting upon the beam, “love bug 🐞” The adorable toddler wore a purple GK Elite leotard with a crisscross pattern on the back and studs across the front of it. Sammi shared another image of a toddler sticking her landing and saluting the judges, just like her TT does. But here’s the kicker. In another picture, we can see the back of her adorable Leo with the words, “but still I rise.” Could she get any cuter?

However, this isn’t the first time Baby Biles has imitated her Olympian aunt. On September 30, Sammi shared a few adorable videos of Ronni practicing her gymnastics moves in front of the mirror. While she doesn’t have a beam at home, Grammi improvised by sticking a piece of tape across the wood flooring. Wanting to be like her TT, Sammi captioned the video, “hahah little miss ronni biles may need a @spiethamerica soft beam here soon 😂 not even 2 yet & loves gymnastics so much 😳😍”
Baby Biles picked up a few pointers by watching Simone Biles. But as she imitates the salute, she nearly falls onto her back. She then proceeded to put her hand on the floor while she struggled to lift her foot up in the air. Ronni gets back up as her mother cheers her on. But unsatisfied with her attempt, she tries to repeat the move again. Even though their German Shepherd walked past her, she kept it professional, finally succeeding. We’re sure you’re just as excited about the docuseries, but what do we know so far?
What is Simone Biles Rising Part 2 about?
After a harrowing experience in the Tokyo capital, the gymnast decided to focus on her mental health and well-being before she returned to the sport in 2023. But leading up to the Paris Olympics, the 27-year-old tagged her third berth the Redemption Tour, hoping to shut down any naysayers, especially the ones calling her a quitter 3 years back. We follow her journey through adversity in the first two episodes of Simone Biles Rising.
However, on October 3, Netflix dropped the trailer for the much-anticipated Part 2 of the series. The trailer follows Simone Biles around in Paris. But even though she is excited to dominate the world’s biggest stage yet again, she isn’t afraid to admit how emotional this journey would be. “But an Olympic year is stressful. There’s a lot of emotions rather than just gymnastics. And you never know what’s gonna happen,” the G.O.A.T. confessed.

This time, the Final Five were stronger and smarter. But what if the fears from Tokyo resurface? All of this only made her anxious. “Feel like you’re gonna throw up, cry, pee yourself. Like just all the things,” she exclaimed. Granted, this was her third time at the Games, but she was older, and after everything that had transpired, all she wanted to do was crush those doubts—within herself and her fans. Amid a raucous cheer at the Bercy Arena, Team USA clinched a gold on July 30.
Simone Biles had successfully claimed the tag of being the most decorated gymnast of all time by the end of the Games. And fans get to relive those glorious moments in Episodes 3 and 4 of Simone Biles Rising. We follow the Olympian around through the U.S. Olympic Trials and her dreamy Parisian Stint. We know what you’re thinking. When can we watch it? Part 2 of the docuseries will grace our screens on October 25. Baby Biles is ready to watch her TT slay on the screen, but are you?
