Recently, the LSU Tigers defeated the No. 12 Auburn Lady Tigers with 198.3-197.1. Olivia Dunne entered the lineup at the last moment and closed out the rotation. A qualifier for the 2020 Nastia Liukin Cup had paused her rigorous athletic schedule. She took to TikTok to announce her much-needed break and wrote, “Back to slaying soon.”

Known as the ‘most followed NCAA athlete on social media’, she is now back with her practice sessions and shared a highlight with her fans. Masquerading another day at work, Olivia Dunne sarcastically quoted her day-to-day practice sessions as her ‘office’ routine and shared her jaw-dropping training routine moves at the Baton Rouge campus just ahead of LSU vs. Florida.

Dancing her way off toward the ignition point of her flexible jumps only exhibits just how comfortable the young gymnast is with her sport. In the latest TikTok video, the former team member of the USA Nationals and a current star gymnast of the LSU Tigers women’s gymnastics team demonstrated her swift gymnastic movements. She can be seen doing a backflip on the balance beam, coming to a perfect stop towards the end of the bar, and receiving the applause of her teammates.

Even after missing out on two significant gymnastic meets, Olivia Dunne eclipsed a historic win for the LSU Tigers in the 2024 season. The 21-year-old had replaced her fellow mate KJ Johnson and this sudden alteration in the team structure was glorified when Olivia Dunne lined up for her 9.875 score. Most definitely not an easy feat! That victory marked the eighth straight win over the visiting Auburn Tigers when facing off in the PMAC.

Head Coach Jay Clark was satisfied with his team’s performance and the crowd’s reception. In an interview, Jay said, “Great night. Great atmosphere. We can’t thank the fans enough for coming here and selling this place out. That was a lot of fun, LSU people are special. To be able to support your baseball team as defending national champions and then come across the street and seat 12,740 is awesome. I don’t know any other place in the country that would do that. We are grateful.”

Adding to an aggregate team score of 198.475, the LSU Tigers Women’s Gymnastics Team defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks. The latter scored a close 196.200 at the event. This strategic shift in the LSU’s lineup, anchored by Olivia Dunne, has become the latest highlight of the gymnastic industry.
