Well, breathe easy again, because all prayers have been answered. It has been revealed that Biles is going to get back to the gymnastics floor at the U.S. Classic which is going to be held in August.

After hearing the tremendous news, the spirits of the sports world are high, and so are their expectations. When the official Twitter page of ESPN announced the news of her return, some fans were overjoyed. However, others were skeptical after reading the news. While sharing about the grand comeback, ESPN wrote, “Simone Biles plans to compete at the U.S. Classic in early August, her first event since the 2020 Tokyo Olympics”.

Indeed, the decorated gymnast has been conspicuously absent from all major gymnastics events. After writing 4 Olympic gold medals and 7 Olympic medals to her name, Biles announced her respite from the sport. After getting a serious case of the ‘twisties’ during her routine at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Simone Biles decided that the best thing for her future was if she took a break to work on her mental health. So, that’s what she did.
While they were supportive of her decision to stop, her interlude was not easy on her fans, who have been eagerly waiting to see her performing elegant twists and turns on the gymnastics floor. But not everyone has encouraged her mission to take care of herself, and some have outrightly negated her comeback.
The high standards Olympians are put to
Simone Biles might have taken a respite to focus on her mental health, but that has not convinced everyone. When ESPN shared the news, someone commented:
Quitter must be running low on endorsement money. 🤮

When Biles spoke out freely about mental health problems and made herself vulnerable to the masses, many other athletes applauded her for her bravery. But not this person:
Can’t wait for her to bail on her country and get applauded as a “mental health pioneer”

Another commentator, upon hearing the news of her return, asked:
She going to quit again?

There have been many naysayers on the internet, but to balance out the negativity, there have been fans who have spoken out to encourage her. A fan, while countering a naysayer, commented:
Mental health comes first

Another Simone Biles’ supporter commented:
You would have totally rather seen her seriously injure herself or worse by forcing herself out. That would have really given me my country pride.
