However, despite being a successful gymnast since her debut and winning four-Olympics gold medals, Biles went through some issues with the Olympics. In 2019, a fantastic trick that was never seen before was performed by Simone but got banned. Reacting to this, fans of Simone expressed their anger with facts on Twitter.
Fans reacting to Simone Biles’ penalization
In 2019, USA Today’s columnist tweeted with the caption, “ICYMI, The FIG is punishing @Simone_Biles for the potential recklessness of other gymnasts.” People witnessed Biles’ move getting banned by the Olympics. One user penned, “How is it Simone’s fault the other gymnasts aren’t as good as her and foolhardy enough to attempt moves they don’t have the skills for? Instead of holding her back Harrison Bergeron style, they should get good.”
Meanwhile, another user recalled old athletes, “Simone Biles isn’t the first gymnast to have moves deemed dangerous and banned. Look up the “Korbut Flip” or the “Thomas Salto.” Another pointed out, “Isn’t this like doing a quad combination jump in figure skating? Isn’t this what the Olympics should be about, pushing limits?”

I think there is pressure unlike any other sport in gymnastics and falling on the neck is a real risk. Recklessness of coaches is more the issue than other gymnasts. This scoring also puts an inevitable block up to any upcoming stars. Tough spot to be in really.

Right!?! There has never been a gymnast like Simone Biles before — and other gymnasts know that! They will do *their* best! It's up to the sport to support and keep up WITH Biles. They've done a crap job so far and she has managed to persevere and thrive DESPITE that.

When you're so good, you break the game. Best ever.

Is it me? It seems like you get rewarded for failure and punished for being successful. 🙄
