Simone Biles is never one to beat around the bush when it comes to proclaiming her allegiance. Be it talking about mental health or urging her husband Jonathan Owens’ fans to cut the couple some slack, the GOAT of gymnastics always speaks her mind. And now, as the USA keeps its eyes glued to the TV to keep up with the electoral polls, the 27-year-old Olympian once again made it clear where she stands about the electoral polls.
2024 has been an eventful year for Biles. At the 33rd Olympic Games in August, she reclaimed her top spot for the world to witness in emphatic style. Winning three gold and one silver in the City of Love, Simone completed her redemption arc in style. Right after that, she took to social media to take a jab at former president Donald Trump for his “black jobs” comment. Walking the same line, Simone Biles once again can’t seem to stay away from the election fever that’s taken over the country.

In her Instagram Threads post from November 5, the WCC gymnast revealed who she’d like to see at the helm of the White House for the next five years. “let’s go kamala mamala,” wrote Biles in her social media update. The Democrat Presidential candidate would be pleased to know that she won the 7x Olympic gold medalist’s confidence, whatever the result of the election may be. Unsurprisingly though, Biles’ fans were quick to show support in the comment section of the post, as most of them affirmed that the Houston native’s heart is in the right place.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that Simone shared her opinion about this year’s Presidential candidates. In September, social media was rife with speculation of Biles donating $4 million to Kamala Harris’ Presidential campaign. While the rumor remains unconfirmed, it wasn’t difficult to note that the gymnastics icon would love to see the country being led by a woman for the next Presidential tenure.
However, the final verdict is yet to be declared. Whichever way things go, we can say one thing for sure: Simone Biles’ popularity isn’t going to dwindle based on who takes charge of the USA. However, Biles’ association with the Harris party isn’t something new, especially considering the honors she has received from the Democrat administration.

In 2022, Simone became the youngest US citizen ever to receive the US Presidential Medal of Freedom. At the age of 25, she made history, and the honor was a testament that irrespective of what transpired in Japan the year before, Biles was truly a force to be reckoned with when it came to gymnastics.

At the 2021 Tokyo Games, Biles was seen at the lowest point in her career when she pulled out of the finals because of her mental turmoil, known as the “twisties.” However, it was clear that most of her fellow Americans had already accepted Biles as the greatest star of the sport, and even she failed to hide her jubilation when POTUS Joe Biden hung the prestigious medal around her neck at a special ceremony.
Earlier this year, Trump’s controversial statement about how the USA could be flooded with immigrants created quite a row. “They’re taking Black jobs now and it could be 18, it could be 19 and even 20 million people,” he said and Biles took the opportunity of her stellar Parisian campaign to retort back candidly. “I love my black job,” Biles said in a reply to singer Ricky Davila’s post, which gushed at how cool the gymnast looked in her diamond-shaped goat pendant.

Harris also centered around this statement by the former president to underscore why she’s the better candidate for the next POTUS. Over the years, Donald Trump has earned a name for himself for his controversial remarks. While his critics are many, there is also no shortage of people who believe Trump’s policies can usher in a bountiful time for the nation. On the other hand, Kamala Harris’ supporters are also strong in numbers, and she has her boasting rights as well. However, it seems like Biles has made up her mind about who she wants to win.
