Nellie Biles could have been the average proud mom boasting about her girl. Well, while she is proud of Simone Biles, Nellie is not the one to sit back and enjoy. Instead, she has built a facility to help the younger generation nurture their dreams. 

Not only that, Nellie also keeps a close eye on the recent happenings and doesn’t miss out on boosting the budding ones’ morale. Similarly, she was at it again when this 17-year-old WCC Elite Gymnast struck gold at the Winter Cup. Beaming with pride, Nellie Biles made sure she made the young gymnast’s day special. 

Nellie Biles praises WCC gymnast for her US triumph

Dulcy Grey Caylor is living her dreams at the moment. In what was a remarkable performance at the Winter Cup, Caylor earned herself a place at the US Championships 2024. However, her moments of triumph did not end there. In a heartwarming video uploaded on Instagram, Caylor was spotted beaming amidst her friends, while Nellie Biles cheered her. As a token of appreciation for her win, she was presented with several balloons tied together. 

Much to her surprise, in one of the balloons was tied a note that read, “Good afternoon Dulcy, Congratulations on qualifying to 2024 US Championships! You will be named to the USA Gymnastics Senior National Team and are invited to represent Team USA at the DTB Pokal Mixed Cup competition in Stuttgart, Germany.” After reading the note, the 17-year-old gymnast’s expression changed drastically.

She could not believe that she was selected for the US National team. Simone Biles’ mother beamed with pride as she clapped enthusiastically for Dulcy Caylor. However, while Nellie might be a proud gym owner now, the pain and hardship she underwent building it speaks volumes about her mental strength.

It is a well-known fact that Simone Biles achieved greatness under her coach Aimee Boorman. The duo did wonders when Biles clinched a total of 5 medals at Rio. However, Simone almost had to let Boorman. When Nellie Biles heard about Boorman’s departure from Biles’ childhood gym, she decided to build one herself.

Risking her entire chain of nursing homes, she sold them all to accumulate funds for the gym. After a long and tedious grind, she finally managed to make it a reality and hired Boorman for her daughter, who stayed with her for 11 years. Now, while Simone Biles is an Olympic gold medalist, Nellie’s gym buzzes with the triumphs of young ones such as the 17-year-old Dulcy Caylor.
