What can we say more about Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens? The power couple has collectively tugged fans’ heartstrings with loved-up pictures and unconditional support for each other. The Chicago Bears safety did his part by cheering the G.O.A.T. on during her third Olympic berth in Paris. On the other hand, the gymnast has shown up to several games for her beau, albeit more sporadically now, with the Gold Over America Tour on her mind. So, it’s safe to say the 27-year-old’s husband would be her favorite, right? Well, we finally know the answer to that question.

The teams have one of the longest-standing rivalries in the NFL’s history, dating back to 1921. In fact, the gymnast faced the ire of Bear fans when she showed up to the preseason game wearing a jacket with her husband’s likeness all over it. What’s wrong with that, you ask? It was images of the safety in his No. 34 Packers jersey. He played for them last season.  As wholesome as that is, the fans weren’t too impressed. Heyward picked up on that and exclaimed, “Oh wait. You’re saying a Green Bay Packer, you like?” But the Olympian clarified why she picked the NFL star. 

“Yeah, we were there. I mean, you can’t hate them after you leave. You still have so much respect for the team, you know?” In fact, she even gave her husband a shoutout. “Honestly, I mean, besides my husband, because he’s broken down stigmas that aren’t typical. Like he’s D2 undrafted, year seven in the league.” The 29-year-old joined the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2018. “Which is so good for kids to see, especially when he hosts his football camps,” Biles confessed.

The Jonathan Owens Foundation often hosts events for underserved youth in America. These often give them exposure to different professions, industries, and more. They even get hands-on experience during these camps, which helps broaden their horizons. However, Jordan Love isn’t the only athlete who’s impressed the G.O.A.T. The gymnast namedrops another player during this conversation. Who is it?

Patrick Mahomes has stumped Simone Biles

Before the 7x Olympic gold medalist made her shocking confession, she admitted that this particular player has always left her speechless. “I really think we always go back to Patrick Mahomes, a freak of nature,” she exclaimed. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is the youngest player to win a Super Bowl title and a league MVP. He also is the first player in the 21st century to do it in the same season.

But Simone Biles has always had one question. “How does he always pull it out? It’s like the Chiefs could be down, and he’s just a miracle worker.” However, it looks like the appreciation goes both ways. After suffering from a debilitating case of the twisties, the gymnast made a triumphant comeback at the 2024 Olympics. And she has made another fan out of Patrick Mahomes’ 3-year-old daughter, Sterling. 

Brittany Mahomes shared an adorable Instagram story of their daughter on 21st August. The tiny tot’s fit consisted of a leotard, Adidas sneakers, and her very own backpack! Brittany captioned the heartwarming story, “First day of Gymnastics.😍 In her U.S.A leotard🔥” Could she be coming for the 11x Olympic medalist next? We will have to wait and watch. Even though Simone Biles only had good intentions while naming her favorites, this could possibly add more fuel to the fire.
