A former US Olympic Gymnastics team captain and the dignitary of the “Magnificent Seven,” she was a gold medalist at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. She represented the USA six times in nationals and thrice in World Championships. Her consistent demonstration of talent and propensity helped her reach the pinnacle of a successful career. Now a commentator for CBS Sports, Fox Sports, ESPN, NBC, and the PAC-12 Network, her contemporary consciousness is on the 2024 Paris Olympics.

However, her unforgettable journey in the Olympics has been exemplary. She had recently visited the US Olympics and Paralympic Museum. She remembered old memories of bagging the Sportswoman of the Year title in 1995.

A member of the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame and US Olympic Hall of Fame, Amanda Borden, recently visited the US Olympic & Paralympic Museum. Her name in the museum filled her heart with fond memories. The museum reflects on Amanda Borden’s immense contribution to women’s gymnastics as the team was the first to win the Olympic games.

 

The museum exhibited that Team USA, led by its captain, Amanda Borden, outscored their main competition in the 1996 Olympics. The Americans have outscored the toughest global players, Russia, and the two-time defending world champion, Romania, thus winning a gold medal in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Amanda Borden took to social media to oblige, “Reflecting on all these memories fills me with immense gratitude and nostalgia for the sport of gymnastics and so much pride for Team USA.” With these reminiscences, she anticipates cheer for the imminent 2024 Paris Olympics.

A new generation of athletes is the new focus

Combining her competitive gymnastic career with education, Amanda Borden’s current ambition has been to train the new generation of athletes who wish to establish their names in competitive gymnastics. She presently is the owner of Gold Medal Gymnastics Academy in Tempe and Chandler, Arizona. She takes pride in declaring to the Gold Medal Gymnastics, “My goal is to touch the lives of children all across Arizona to help them reach their goals, whatever they may be.”

Focusing on her ambition, Amanda Borden looks forward to the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. Prepping for the same, students from her academy and all across the world are geared up to put up a grand show in gymnastics.
