Cassie Stevens again showcased her brilliance as Auburn’s gymnastics team triumphed over Alabama in a thrilling match at Neville Arena. Sunisa Lee, renowned for her breathtaking performances on the gymnastics floor, expressed her excitement through her post. Posting on her Instagram story, she captured the essence of victory and the camaraderie among teammates.

Auburn soared to a season-high score of 197.725, outclassing Alabama’s 197.050, in a testament to the team’s unwavering determination and skill. Ranked 14th nationally, Auburn proved its mettle against the 7th-ranked Alabama squad.

Stevens and her teammate Aria Brusch played pivotal roles in all three home victories against Alabama in 2020, 2022, and now in 2024. Stevens’ stellar performance on the beam, scoring a remarkable 9.975, propelled Auburn to a commanding lead after the third rotation.

The team’s triumph was marked by season-high scores across multiple events. The victory over Alabama extends Auburn’s dominance at Neville Arena and signifies a significant shift in the dynamics of the historic rivalry.
