The LSU Women’s gymnastics team has progressed to the next round of the NCAA Gymnastics Championships 2024, and who else but Olivia Dunne to make the latest victory memorable? Livvy isn’t keen on letting one opportunity slide as she heads into her final year with the LSU Tigers. The national sensation is determined to leave on a high note, and so far, things are panning out according to her plan.

After having a brilliant run at this year’s SEC Championship, the Tigers were already running high on their stellar form. Heading into this year’s SEC championship, not everyone was prepared to see the Tigers lift their fifth title. And now, it looks like the regular season has only provided a massive boost to the engines for the LSU girls, and Dunne is determined to stay on top of things.

In her recent Snapchat story, Dune shared her livid emotions after the last night’s performance. Captioned “I was hype“, the story shows an ecstatic Dunne as she flaunts her support to help her teammates keep dishing out one belter after another.

Dunne rounded off the team’s floor exercise in style as the Tigers recorded an incredible 49.700, which is also the best regional floor score of the night. With an overall score of 197.800, the Tigers also recorded the highest score in both sessions on Thursday. Along with performances on the mat, some off-the-mat developments also seem to be making Dunne’s exit exciting.

Olivia Dunne’s grand farewell shaping up

Only a few days ago, the Tigers’ new gear was revealed for the world to galore. Carrying a deeper meaning to the famed purple and golden leotards, the new dress will commemorate LSU’s historic SEC feat in style, opined assistant coach Ashleigh Gnat. And from the looks of things, Dunne’s teammates are also trying everything in their power to make sure the new drips don’t become unworthy of remembrance for her.

During their regular season activities, head coach Jay Clark mentioned that making sure athletes’ well-being has been the most important thing for the LSU staff. With the “holistic approach” being at the center of their actions, it looks like the caring nature of the coaches has paid off brilliantly, as the Tigers can’t stop setting new benchmarks for their peers to look up to. With Haleigh Bryant making sure to make every opportunity count, Dunne couldn’t be happier to see how her final year is making ripples across the collegiate gymnastics scene in the country.

Now, as the LSU ladies head on to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Championships, they will face off against Kentucky, No. 10 Arkansas, and No. 15 Minnesota in the Fayetteville Regional Final later today.
