Olivia Dunne, on her final run with LSU, is making waves in the 2024 gymnastics season with strong performances. Livvy and the LSU Tigers – LSU gymnastics team is currently ranked No. 3 in the country. They’ve maintained their top-five position for the ninth consecutive week, showing their consistent performance throughout the season. And now, adding to the joy, the team has achieved a huge milestone that left Olivia Dunne beaming from ear to ear.

Olivia Dunne took to her Instagram stories following a blazing night at the Raising Cane’s River Center on Friday, March 8, 2024. Livvy shared a response to her LSU gymnastics post that shared that the Tigers had set a record-breaking national qualifying score.

LSU scored a total of 198.425, which was their second-highest score of the season. This was also special because the team’s performance on the night marked the first time LSU had surpassed the 198+ mark. Furthermore, the LSU Tigers set a new program floor NQS record with an impressive score of 49.695, setting a new standard in LSU and NCAA history. How Livvy contributed to her team’s success

The LSU gymnastics team had an outstanding night, finishing at the top of the podium challenge. Senior Haleigh Bryant was the star of the night. She took home all five titles, dominating in every event. She achieved a perfect 10 on both the vault and bars and finished strong with scores of 9.95 on the beam and 9.975 on the floor. Bryant now holds the highest all-around score in the country and set a new school record with her 39.925 in the all-around.

Olivia Dunne played a crucial role in the team’s success. She matched her career-high with a score of 9.900 on floor exercises, which set the tone for the event. Dunne’s performance helped maintain the momentum for LSU, as they finished strong in the final rotation.
