Olivia Dunne, being the highest-paid female collegiate athlete, is news to not many. The 21-year-old’s social media game, strengthened by nearly 14 million followers across all platforms, presents the gymnast‘s prominence in her domain. Embracing the popularity with her down-to-earth demeanor, Livvy has called upon the love of many; including alumni from LSU or, more recently, Utah State University (USU).

Later last year, Olivia Dunne received a pair of customized Air Jordans from LSU alumnus Michael Anderson; speaking highly of the heights she has attained. This time around, while much remains the same, the surprise arrived from USU gymnastics alumni. A note of love and gratitude tagged along.

Olivia Dunne finds sparkles in the gift

Intrinsic to her routine, Livvy recently took to her Snapchat stories to share her excitement about a gift she received. Packed in a grey box, topped with a note marked ‘Olivia Dunne’, the SI Swimsuit model initially teased her audience. But a tap later, Nike Air, embossed with purple and yellow sparkles and ‘Geaux Tigers’ written on each, had the gymnast saying, “OMGG.” In the update that followed, Livvy gave a run-through of the shoe design as Taylor Swift’s ‘Bejeweled’ played in the background. “Shoutout to Kaitlin for the drip,” Livvy captioned her stories.

Kaitlyn Betts, a Utah State University alumnus and a current gymnastics coach at the University of Illinois, was the sender of the generous gift. “Thank you so much for supporting my small business,” Kaitlyn wrote in gratitude. “I hope to add some sparkle and shine to your season! Best of Luck!” the note further read, offering mutual love, admiration, and respect. However, while the instance remains rare, as aforementioned, it wasn’t the first time Olivia Dunne found her shoes shining in yellow and purple for the LSU Tigers.

Popular for her influential self, rightly backed by Forbes twice, Olivia Dunne proves just the prospect of growing business or otherwise. While the gestures often stem from love and admiration, they nonetheless offer a chance of exposure from Livvy, who stands to adorn millions of staunch followers. In a process similar, the young sensation received personalized Air Jordan, renamed AirLivvy from LSU alumnus Michael Anderson.

The LSU artist, whose bio reads, “Your favorite athlete’s favorite artist,” gifted Olivia Dunne yellow and purple colorway shoes; receiving an amazed reaction from the gymnast. Warmed by the collaboration, Anderson penned a note for the 21-year-old. Stating all of her achievements and applauding her ability to handle the “spotlight with absolute grace,” he wrote, “Shout out to Livvy Dunne, man!!” Livvy’s ability to inspire such gestures continues to back the rise she witnessed and the love she garners.
