Olivia Dunne might still be undecided about her LSU comeback, but Chase Brock isn’t going anywhere. Brock is a four-year senior from Atlanta, Georgia, and will be back for the next season with LSU. Speaking about her return, Brock stated that the decision regarding her return was quite simple since she felt great physically.
Elaborating on the same, Brock stated, “I just feel like there’s more in me that I can give, so I wanted to take that last year and just kind of have fun with it.”
The official X account of the LSU Gymnastics confirmed the news by captioning their post, “Nathan’s mom isn’t leaving #GeauxTigers | @ChaseBrock14” Aiming for a return, Chase Brock participated in five events to test her performance. Needless to say, the LSU gymnast did a splendid job and also bagged an impressive 9.900 while competing in round 2 of the Fayetteville Regional.

Brock has been a mainstay of the LSU team throughout her four seasons. During her stint as a junior, Brock managed to appear in 14 games out of the 16 total games LSU played. Vault and floor being the primary focus for the young gymnast, she recorded her career-best figures of 9.975 in the vault while facing off against ninth-placed Alabama. Brock also replicated her best performance twice while competing in the Podium Challenge.

However, while Chase Brock is hopeful for a great season ahead, another big name, Olivia Dunne is doubtful. Dunne has become a phenom in the NCAA gymnastics circuit. She also won her maiden NCAA title this year and fans wanted to see more of her. Unfortunately, Dunne’s decision might not please the fans.
Olivia Dunne’s absence likely to be filled in by Chase Brock
Speaking about her return for a fifth season to LSU, Dunne stated, “It definitely makes me want to come back, but I haven’t quite thought about it completely.” Elaborating on her statement, the LSU gymnastics heartthrob opined that she has been working hard to win the championship. However, Dunne gave a hint about a possible return as she promised to revisit the idea of the same.

Meanwhile, the fans can cherish the presence of Chase Brock. Considered a fan favorite, Brock was all gleeful while speaking about the support of the audience. She stated, “Our fans play a big role in our success and how we do… We really build off their energy. It’s been cool, especially for the past four years, to see how much the fan base has grown and how many people are getting into, not just gymnastics, but women’s sports.”
Brock also reflected on her approach towards her final season. The gymnast hoped not to put too much stress on herself and wanted to play the role assigned to her by the team. She also stated that to just enjoy the last dance doing her favorite thing was an experience Brock liked to cherish.
