Is Stephen Nedoroscik redefining what it means to be a multi-talented athlete in today's world?

Stephen Nedorocik’s admirers are aplenty. With his newfound love for dancing, it seems like the pommel horse specialist’s popularity is only growing. While the Penn State alum is making fans groove with his stint at the 33rd season of Dancing With The Stars, his Team USA buddies are also spreading golden joy as they travel the country with the second edition of the Gold Over America Tour. But even their physical distance can’t keep them from showing up at each other’s camps every once in a while, albeit in guise!

In the past weeks, Nedoroscik and his dancing partner, Rylee Arnold, have been incredible, to say the least. Their dance routines have mesmerized fans, and not once has the Olympic medalist looked uncomfortable as he continued to explore things outside his natural habitat. Justifiably, his gymnastics brethren also took the occasion of Halloween to give Nedoroscik a fitting tribute.

In his Instagram story from October 31, the Nittany Lion gymnast shared a brief snippet of how the G.O.A.T. squad dressed up for Halloween night. The clip shows the Gold Over America Tour gymnasts having a blast on the occasion, including Team USA members Brody Malone, Paul Juda, and Fred Richard along with their Canadian colleague Ellie Black. Black can be seen cosplaying as Nedoroscik, as the others recreate scenes from Paris when they celebrated Stephen’s individual medal win.

In Black’s original post, she wrote, “Thank you @dancingwiththestars for letting @stephen_nedoroscik make a guest appearance on tour,” as she wished a happy Halloween to her buddies. Evidently, Nedoroscik was flattered by the gesture as well as being genuinely amused. “ELLIE LMAO NO WAY,” gushed the Superman lookalike gymnast in his IG update, underscoring his approval.

However, Black was the only one who looked to her own profession for inspiration for Halloween. On the other hand, Malone, Juda, and Richard let their creative juices flow. Considering how Nedorocsik has amassed a new contingent of admirers in these past weeks, we believe that the Team USA and Black tribute isn’t stretching things too far.

While the gymnasts of the national team have been following the GOAT Simone Biles to make the pop-styled show a smash hit, Nedoroscik’s decision to try out dancing for a change raised a lot of eyebrows. However, Stephen’s mom Cheryl stated that the gymnast loves to explore new horizons and is always eager to learn things. “I think he wants to be…not a perfectionist, but he likes to dabble in all sorts of different activities, whether it be at school or using his athleticism to try dancing. He likes to experiment,” she said during a recent Spotify podcast episode.

Nedoroscik is also taking the opportunity to give his DWTS partner a lesson on what it takes to be an elite gymnast. But he hasn’t forgotten his roots and used the popular show’s platform as a stage to give his colleagues a tribute himself. Dancing to the tunes of Seven Nations Army by the White Stripes, Nedoroscik made it clear that gymnastics will always be his muse even though dancing is taking up most of his time recently.
