Is Olivia Dunne's life at LSU really as glamorous as it seems, or is it all a facade?

Olivia Dunne’s life seems like the perfect example of living on a bed of roses. With a $3.9 million NIL (name, image, and likeness) valuation, she is making waves in the NCAA gymnastics sphere. In fact, in the NIL list compiled by On3.com, Olivia Dunne ranks at the top among female athletes with such impressive numbers to her name. And believe us, those numbers are set to soar even higher as the 21-year-old has already announced her return for a fifth year with the LSU Tigers. However, as they say, not all that glitters is gold. Not everything about the gymnast’s life shines as brightly. Recently, Olivia’s sister, Julianna, has revealed some of the less glamorous aspects of her sister’s life.

Julz Dunne, Olivia’s big sister, has often been a steady source of support for Livvy. Through her social media channels, Julz frequently shares updates on her sister and occasionally doesn’t miss the opportunity to playfully tease her. So, it was expected that this mix of emotions and sisterly dynamics would be on full display when the docu-series on Olivia and several former LSU athletes, The Money Game, was announced. And, boy, did it deliver! Julz shared a few unheard stories about Olivia Dunne.

Released on September 10 on Amazon Prime, the docu-series holds six episodes. However, in the second episode, the LSU graduate revealed that her sister had not been the only brain behind setting the captions of her social media posts. Rather, Julz Dunne had to help to “narrow it down.” Moreover, if there is any comic post on social media from Olivia’s handle, then Julz has assured that it would be her brainchild, not her little sister’s. But what is the reason behind it?

Julz herself revealed the reason, chuckling. She mentioned, “She [Olivia] has no character development. She didn’t go to public school. I did.” The big sister could say nothing wrong. At 3 years of age, Livvy found a way to cherish her interest in gymnastics, as she was admitted to the ENA Gymnastics, the same facility where she would meet Hezly Rivera later. However, her involvement in gymnastics limited her time, hindering her initial schooling. That issue needed a solution. Meanwhile, Julz and Livvy’s mother, Katherine, took the responsibility on her shoulders to homeschool her youngest daughter. She carried out that responsibility with gusto, following the Abeka Academy curriculum. But for Julz Dunne, the arrangement had been different.

The eldest among the Dunne sisters attended Pascack Valley High School. She completed her study from there in 2019. Later she moved to Louisiana State University, the institute Olivia calls her ‘home’. After a four-year course in kinesiology, Julz left LSU in 2023. Even so, sharing the same roof with Olivia, Julz has never found an interest in gymnastics. Rather, softball has been her preferred sport. But barely having any share of likeness between them couldn’t deter the 23-year-old from supporting her sister.

Additionally, in the episode of the docu series, The Price Just Went Up, she said, “Livvy is one of the funniest people I’ve ever met in my entire life, but I help her with everything she does.” That bonding between the sisters has always been there.

Have an interesting take?

After lifting the nation’s best title as a part of the gymnastics team, Olivia Dunne showed up at Raising Cane’s with some of her teammates, volunteering for a day. But before moving to the service for the food joint, she posted the update on her social media. Millions of fans went gaga after watching the gymnastic and social media ingenue in a different role. But Julz Dunne couldn’t miss the special moment. She congratulated her younger sister for “getting a real job.” The leg pull couldn’t be funnier, as she herself had joined Livvy as a paid employee after graduating from LSU.

All these years, she has played a pivotal role in increasing Olivia Dunne’s popularity on social media. Acknowledging her role in the social media success, the latter called her “Sometimes the brains behind the operation.” Even when the national champion felt overwhelmed because of her study pressure, the former softball player helped edit all the social media posts. She also handles the discussion part with the brands, eager to make Olivia Dunne sign the contracts. Thus the bond grows, filling up the potholes in the personal abilities.
