Amid that, preparations for her highly anticipated Gold Over America Tour 2024, set to captivate audiences nationwide, are also ongoing. This exciting venture will hit the road in September to stir up things once again after the Parisian splendor. Despite all the excitement, there is a piece of somewhat disappointing news for the enthusiasts.

According to a recent revelation, Biles’ husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, will not make appearances. Owens’ demanding schedule and professional commitments will prevent him from joining Biles on this tour. This news, though disappointing for fans hoping to see the couple together, underscores the dedication both Biles and Owens have to their respective careers.

In a recent exclusive video on ET, Simone Biles says she’s going to visit 30 arenas across the USA, kicking off from Oceanside, California as part of the $20M tour. But, the video reveals that because her husband will be in the middle of his NFL season, he cannot join. However, national champions like Shilese Jones, Melanie de Jesus dos Santos, and Fred Richard will join her. In her own words, Simone Biles said, “It’s doubly exciting, especially adding the men.” By men, she is referring to her best friend, Fred Richard. They will visit locations such as Phoenix, LA, and Newark, embarking with the message of “hope, strength, resilience and determination.”

Though Biles’ husband will not be present, she will have plenty of friends to join her on the road. Amongst them, especially Fred Richard who seems very passionate about the representation of men in gymnastics. In an interview, he said, “The goal is to get as many eyes on the men’s gymnastics side as possible and have more people understand who we are and what we do.”

According to Richard, teaming up with the most decorated gymnast in history for a few months could be really helpful. Richard praised Biles as a “role model,” and she admires his exceptional ability to connect with audiences. Other than including male gymnasts to make the spectacle more interesting, Simone Biles is also gearing up to inspire future gymnasts. 

In the video, Simone is seen practicing gymnastics with some enthusiastic young gymnasts, who all adorably erupt in “Let’s go!” Simone also mentioned exactly why she is a good fit for the role. She highlighted her extensive gym experience. Biles added she can confidently bring in a certain level of mentorship. This is for guiding people through a tour or a competition. Jonathan Owens, playing in the NFL with the Chicago Bears, maintains a busy schedule. However, despite this, he and Simone Biles have nurtured a strong partnership off the court.

Simone Biles’ journey: Balancing career stardom with personal life

Simone Biles has expressed that her marriage has been blissful and filled with love. However, she has also been candid about the difficulties of balancing her elite gymnastics career with her marriage. Even in their post-marriage life, the couple’s relationship has frequently been long-distance as Owens’ NFL commitments require him to travel. Unfortunately, he even missed Biles’ gymnastics comeback.

Biles said on the Call Her Daddy podcast, “We were together the whole entire time, and then as soon as we got married, Green Bay’s like, hey, we wanna sign him. So we went from our wedding, dropped our bags, flew out the next morning, and signed for Green Bay.” She added, “They were like, see you Monday. Jonathan. So as soon as we got married it was long distance.” 

Recently in April, the couple celebrated their first anniversary. Simone posted a photo of their wedding at Cabo San Lucas, captioning it, “I wish I could marry you a million more times! I love you so much!” The couple even made several appearances together, notably to support Steph Curry at the NBA arena. Simone and her husband had a surprise intimate dinner after the NBA game, making their outing extra special. Biles made an Instagram post that read, “came to visit me on [set] today”. Evidently, the couple who met on Raya around 2020, are going as strong as ever.
