Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are living a modern-day fairytale. The couple are a classic byproduct of a meet cute off of the dating app Raya in 2020 and are now months into being newlyweds. Aside from being a dynamic power couple, the two are really resilient sportsmen who give it their all and in their respective sports. Biles, the gymnastics legend, and Owens, the NFL safety for the Green Bay Packers, often find themselves pining for each other’s company but cannot sometimes.

However, their love for each other always shimmers through despite this distance through their adorable gestures for one another. From hotel surprise fruit baskets to bouquets sent home to always cheering each other’s achievements online, the love birds never shy away from expressing their admiration for each other. And now latitudes and longitudes away from his Olympian wife, Biles, Jonathan Owens was once again left speechless by a rather grand and expensively gorgeous $300,000 gesture by her.

Simone Biles leaves Jonathan Owens tongue tied online

Biles recently shared a jaw-dropping black-and-white picture on Instagram. She posed elegantly in a white bedazzled leotard with rhinestones and floral details on the sleeves, custom-made by the brand GK Elite. In her caption, she wrote, ?BTS? with a camera emoji and a white heart. The gorgeous picture quickly gained traction and visibility, with thousands of likes and comments inundating it. However, one comment stood out, and that was from her husband, Jonathan Owens, who added two black heart emojis in the comment section.

What also excited fans and floored Owens was that the image was taken in a gymnasium, and on her fingers were her frosty engagement diamond and diamond-studded wedding band. This surprise came after Biles, in the past, had refused to wear her ring while training or doing gymnastics.

Token of love: to be preserved or not to be?

In the past, Biles shared the heights and lengths she went to protect the precious rocks adorning her fingers. When a curious fan asked her in a Q&A post on Instagram how she manages to perform with her rings, she replied, ?No, no, no! I wear a silicone band or a thin band I got off of Amazon”. Biles has previously also shared that she wears another ring from Casual Carats as a decoy that comes built into a white silicone band as well, just to be safe.

The beautiful engagement diamond on her hand was custom-made by the skilled jeweler Zo Frost on a special request from Owens. He was solely responsible for putting in his effort to make sure the gesture was as special as their love. The beautiful oval-cut diamond ring came with a heavy price tag too, over $300,000. This is exactly why Biles goes to such lengths to preserve and cherish her token of love.

The black-and-white picture where Biles was seen adoring both her engagement ring and her diamond-studded wedding band in the gymnasium despite refusing to do so in the past was a clear indicator of her missing her husband and keeping his presence felt around her. Jonathan Owens’ comment on the picture too shows how in awe he is of the gesture from his beloved.
