The Louisana State University, commonly known as LSU, has produced some of the finest athletes over the years. Shaquille O’Neal, Angel Reese, and Pete Maravich are just some of the few renowned athletes to form their alumni. However, another athlete, a current wide receiver for Baltimore Ravens, happens to be a proud LSU alumnus. Recently, he raved about his former college alongside a video showing their prized gymnastics team.

Odell Beckham Jr. was first drafted by the New York Giants in 2014, before moving to Cleveland Browns and then LA Rams. He currently plays for Baltimore Ravens but before every other team, he was a college football player for LSU. Here’s him narrating a video for his alma mater and their gymnastics team.

The Instagram page of LSU Gymnastics recently posted a video, where all their gymnasts are seen displaying their various moves. Their purple jersey is proudly visible, and the video is a tribute to all LSU athletes over the years. But the cherry on the top is the narrator of the clip.

Odell Beckham Jr. said, “Let me tell you a few things about those 3 letters”, indicating LSU. He continued, “Because I know a thing or two about them. You see when you leave here? they?ll be raving about you for years to come”. He finally ended by saying, “This is for our legacy. This is for LSU”.

Odell Beckham Jr. attended LSU, which he choose over reported scholarship offers from Mississippi State, Nebraska, and Ole Miss, as per 247Sports. His pride and honor for LSU preceded his admission to the college.

Who is the best athlete to come out of LSU?

At LSU, Odell Beckham Jr. had a decent college football career. In his 3 years there from 2011-2013, Beckham Jr. played 40 games, in which he had 143 receptions, 2340 yards, 16.4 YPC, and 12 TD. Some of his most memorable performances came against Towson in 2012 and the University of Alabama in 2013. On the other hand, the LSU Gymnastics team just finished fourth in the NCAA Championships. The return of their star gymnast Olivia Dunne following her Tiktok ban and injury certainly bolstered their chances.

Angel Reese and the Lady Tigers also recently won the national title and made it to the championship round. Overall it has been a series of prideful events for LSU, and LSU Sports is in the middle of a purple patch.
