Simone Arianne Biles and Jonathan Owens are one of the most adored couples in the sporting world. Though from the same world, their fields are different. While Biles is the gymnastics Queen, Owens plays football for Houston Texans. It is natural for these athletes to share a trick or two when it comes to sports. In fact, it has been a contributing factor that helps them understand each other’s struggles on a regular basis. However, there are times when the difference in their fields, becomes a hurdle.

But fret not, it’s always funny banter. The duo even argue about whose sport is superior. At times, the Gymnastics Queen gets an upper hand over her king because of her witty replies. One such instance was seen when the love birds appeared in a docuseries in 2021.

Simone Biles hilarious takes a dig at her future hubby

In June 2021, the third episode of Simone Biles’ docuseries Simone v/s herself was released. One segment of the episode featured Biles and Owens in the gymnasium. While Biles was showing the scars on her legs to Owens, the footballer told her she can voice out whenever she is tired. He went on to demonstrate the body language he uses to communicate with his teammates whenever he is tired. To this Biles replied, “Yeah, but that’s a team sport, we’re not…”

She then hilariously demonstrated how she and her teammates cannot do the same. Biles said, “Olivia is not like, ‘Oh, she’s tired. I’m going to go.'” She then did a mini run while everyone chuckled at her antics. Though Owens might not know how tough gymnastics can be, he did put an effort to give it a try.

But turns out the American Safety is meant to be in the fields and not try his luck in the gymnasium.

After the hilarious exchange, Simone Biles went ahead and demonstrated some of her moves to Owens. Owens, however, struggled to keep up with the gymnast. The couple even did a rope challenge where Owens miserably lost to the gymnast.

Realizing how differently the two athletes are built, Owens said, “I thought I was athletic until I came and tried to do this. And they said I couldn?t do the basic things, so I said, ‘Oh Okay.'”

But this doesn’t mean Owens has accepted that Gymnastics is the superior sport. To date, that debate still continues for the couple.
