NFL safety Jonathan Owens signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2018 to start his professional career. Recently, in an article released by NFL, Owens finally opened up about it saying, “I’m undrafted, man. I take that with me everywhere I go.” Later, the 5-foot-11 athlete suffered a torn ACL that robbed him off the opportunity to play in the 2018 NFL season.
Owens owned his history saying, “If anyone in the NFL knows, when you say you’re undrafted, it’s always a respect thing. I went to a Division II school right out of high school. I always carried a chip on my shoulder.” While there was more to it, he was released from the Cardinals before the 2019 season due to his injury. At this point Owens had hit his lowest where he made the hard choice to continue his NFL career.
Half-a-decade later, now, Owens now plays as Green Bay Packers‘s safety as a free agent. Joining the team in May 2023, he is now added to the charts of 2023 NFL season. During the same time he build a beautiful relationship with 7X Olympic Medalist Simone Biles, and are now living the best life together. The gymnast’s decorated career has only pushed the two to strive for the best, and the same was evident in Owens last year’s stats.
