Home/Olympics

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are once again away from each other. Ever since Owens signed with the NFL team Green Bay Packers in May and Biles made her gymnastics comeback, the two have found themselves away from each other often. The days of distance are going to lengthen as Biles moves ahead to represent the US at the upcoming World Artistic Gymnastics Championships starting later this month. However, love continues to blossom among them through regular social media pampering. But this time, not just a mere Instagram post or story, Biles opened up on camera right from the arena of the Selection Camp.

As the Selection Camp wrapped up, Simone Biles brought forward her life beyond gymnastics. Away from the bars, beams, and vaults, the interview post the trials brought out the other side of the 26-year-old who seemed very much in love with her husband.

To which Simone Biles nodded and replied, “Well, I think right now I?m a little bit older, so I?m doing stuff with my husband. Going to games to see him, trying to limit sponsored stuff and all of those things, and I really said sponsor but really partnership. So it just depends. I’m trying to stay home a little bit more.?

She also stated that she was trying to be more focused in the gym, not overworking herself for many hours while putting in the same numbers as the girls she trained with. She continued saying, “I know that you have to get those repetitions and all that stuff in so that I feel confident as well in my gymnastics and in my journey, so just doing all the fun stuff. Being a wife. Being a daughter,” Cecile Landi her coach chimed in the background, saying ?and a TikToker,? and Biles, laughing, said, ?I?m trying?. While Biles shares an unexpected love note with her husband, Owens from the other side, shared his pride at his wife?s achievement in Katy.
