Simone Biles may be the queen of gymnastics, but there was a time when Jonathan Owens didn’t know about her. It was only when they began dating did he realize that Biles was the “real deal”. The couple recently appeared on ‘The Pivot Podcast’, where they spoke about a lot of things, including their relationship and marriage. “I know what I like and I know what I want,” said Biles confidently while discussing how she was the first to message Owens.
Now, ever since they got together, Owens has been known by Biles’ name, as her boyfriend or husband. But Simone Biles thinks that’s going to change soon.

In a conversation on ‘The Pivot Podcast’, the hosts brought up the duo’s relationship and Owens’ famous ‘I didn’t know who she was’ remark. The conversation highlighted the moment when Owens was fazed by the attention Biles received during their outing.
Following the same, Randolph Channing Crowder Jr. playfully remarked, “He is one hell of a safety. But he is never going to be as good a safety as this one (Biles) is going to be at the gym.”
While the crew laughed it out, Biles had a different opinion. “You know what, he might. Because the other day I said, you know what, in a couple of years, nobody is going to call him, Simone Biles’ husband. They’ll call me Jonathan Owens’ wife.” And the way Owens is progressing in his career, there persists no doubt.
As of early December, Owens played 100 percent of the team’s defensive snaps in five of the last six games. Moreover, he registered 53 tackles (38 solo) followed by a touchdown in the 12 past games. More recently, he tied a season-high with 12 snaps against Tampa Bay. Simone Biles, aware of his growth, continues to stand in solidarity with her man.
