Jonathan Owens has narrated how he managed to sneak in five days of leave to watch Simone Biles perform. Owens recently made the switch from the Green Bay Packers to the Chicago Bears. However, while getting into the training camp, Owens’ dates coincided with those of Biles’ Paris events. Supporting his wife throughout her dark phases after Tokyo, Owens did not want to miss Biles perform on her redemption quest. But he initially hesitated, as the NFL athlete could not fathom how to approach the Bears’ authorities.
In a recent conversation with David Kaplan on YouTube, Owens detailed the entire process of how he sanctioned his dates. Recalling the hilarious incident, Owens stated that he had to meet the team for an initial exchange of formalities. During this time, he whispered into his agent’s ears about the fact that he would be needing some days off for the Olympics.
Luckily for Owens, his stars aligned perfectly and the newly signed Bears’ athlete was given the green light. Owens reminisced, “I’m like you know… the Olympics uh you know in the summer… right in training camp you know just kind of putting the bug in…They basically asked me what days did I want to miss and I gave them I said the 29 or the third I said these are the two finals that I want to be able to check out like. And they ended up like both dates are fine.”

Speaking about the same, the US gymnastics queen said, “Whenever he learns about something, he wants to really dive in. He’s kind of a nerd in that aspect, in the best way, so if he’s going to learn about gymnastics, he’s going to learn about it. So that’s what he was doing — keeping score of everybody and adding it up and stuff like that.”
