Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are distanced yet again! While watching them together is a sight that fans can never get enough of, the Chicago Bears’ safety had NFL duties to serve that kept him from attending his wife’s big Netflix series premiere in Los Angeles. But, though we could not capture visuals of them gracing the event together, we sure have reason to swoon over the GOAT and her beau’s love story!

While Biles visited the Egyptian Theatre Hollywood on October 23 for the grand premiere of ‘Simone Biles Rising II,’ she was reminded by a media representative that she once confessed to being mean on meet days. When questioned if her husband Jonathan Owens takes after her trait or not, Simone Biles replied, “On his game days, he’s sweet. He gets into his groove, his looks a little bit different, but he’s nicer than me.”

Clearly, the two have very different personalities as sportspersons. Feeling a little bit of stress has been the usual norm for Simone Biles before events. She’s confessed that her pep-talk to herself, like whispering, ‘You have this’ before getting onto the mats, helps. Not to mention her regular therapy sessions and meditative moments (like the one before the all-around finals in Paris) have helped, but does get a bit harsh on her meet days.

But Owens on the other hand, works in silence. An athlete himself, he knows the importance of being calm and composed on meet days and that’s something he credits Simone Biles for. He had previously revealed how he’s played a lot better since [meeting Biles], because he’s just been “focused and locked in.” Owens had explained, “you come home, talk about my day and play with the dogs, you know what I mean? That’s just kind of like our thing.”

Well, this is something that he tries to advice Simone Biles on as well. He knows how he needs to encourage her on competition days but still not put the extra bit of expectation of her. “Really it is not much motivation you need to do, just because you don’t want to put extra, added pressure on anyone.” He believes a simple, ‘Go do your thing, baby’ goes a long way!

And we’ve all seen it. When it comes to boosting her morale or flaunting her achievements, Jonathan Owens never falls short of words. Like recently, when he missed the Netflix premiere that Simone Biles and her family attended, but he was sure gushing over the  11x Olympic medalist’s stunning look for the night!

Simone Biles looked sensational in a black sheer gown with a floral corset top at the Netflix premiere for her docu-series in LA. Interestingly, she opted for the same designer she trusted for her wedding dress, Galia Lahav, who clearly is her go-to person for all big occasions of her life. And this time around as well, Lahav did not disappoint, crafting a beautiful outfit for the gymnast with a price tag that read, $4500.

Minimal yet radiant was the memo for the night as Biles accessorized her look with a delicate necklace and 2 bracelets, one in each hand. Her hair down in the middle part had a great bounce and soft curls. Whereas, for her footwear, she opted for translucent pumps, which were trendsetters in the 90s and has contemporary brands picking on that classic wave yet again now.

Needless to say, the entire look truly left her husband enchanted. Taking to social media, Jonathan Owens added Simone Biles’ picture to his story and captioned it, “My baby Premiere ready!!!!❤️🤤” Truly, he resonates the fan sentiment that Biles’ look for the evening was one of her bests so far.
