Does Simone Biles' support give Jonathan Owens an edge this NFL season?

After a successful redemption tour in the French capital, Simone Biles washed away the remnants of the 2020 Tokyo Games. 17 family members, including her husband, Jonathan Owens, were in the French capital cheering her on. The gymnast added 4 more Olympic medals to her ever-growing collection of accolades. However, after some much-needed downtime, it was time for them to return to their humble abode.

After Owens accompanied the gymnast at the Paris Olympics, it was now the G.O.A.T.’s turn to play the role of the supportive spouse. On August 18, the Chicago Bears locked horns with the Cincinnati Bengals at Soldier Field in Chicago. The 27-year-old made sure to cheer her husband on from the stands in the game that churned 27-3 in favor of the Bears. But this was momentary, as Biles is now back in Texas, preparing to dominate the mat before the Gold Over America Tour commences.

In conversation with FOX 26’s Caroline Collins, the Olympian opens up about what the next few months will look like for the two. Collins touches upon how the gymnast’s schedule is way more packed than his. “Yes, I think we go to 32 cities, so I think that’s a lot. I think they have an 18-game season, so we’ll definitely overlap them, but that’s okay,” Biles said. Collins then points out how the gymnast will be in Houston at the same time as Owens and states how she believes it will be a “crazy time for you.”

The 27-year-old couldn’t help but smile at that. “Yes, crazy time, but at least we’re both so busy, so we understand that when we’re not supporting each other, we’re still doing our own things, and then we come together, and that time is just so special.” It truly has been special watching the two cheer each other on while also managing their time apart from each other so graciously. Biles will make her way to Oceanside on September 16, while Owens will next face the Tennessee Titans on September 8.

Collins then asked the G.O.A.T., “What is your favorite thing to do in Houston, and why do you love being home so much?” The 27-year-old’s answer was simple yet sweet. “Oh my gosh, honestly, most of the time if I’m in Houston, I really just like chilling with my husband and our dogs because we don’t get that time as much since we’re doing long distance.” She also added that she enjoys time with her family. The gymnast also makes sure to meet her friends. Their favorite activity? A much-needed wine night.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owen are the definition of a power couple

Simone Biles stunned everyone in Paris. However, one of her biggest fans at Bercy Arena was Jonathan Owens. “Just being able to witness every day, the training you go through, you know, obviously the first day when she had the injury a little bit to her calf, and just her ability to persevere through that and go out there and still dominate. It’s just amazing to watch.” He was even spotted wearing a white t-shirt with her name on it. Could they be any cuter?

The answer is yes! They can, and they were. Biles had suffered a calf injury during a warm-up session before their qualification round. She was spotted wearing a walking boot at the Closing Ceremony. However, this didn’t stop her from coming to his game against the Cincinnati Bengals. She shared a few Instagram stories, showing off the boot and her custom jacket featuring her husband’s picture. Owen’s team won the pre-season game 27-3. Maybe Simone Biles was his lucky charm. What are your thoughts on their supportive relationship?
