She shared her perspective when she named the California Golden Bears as the most impressive team, diverging from the spotlight often placed on powerhouse teams like LSU.

In a recent interview with ESPN Sports, the Olympian was asked to pick the team that impressed her the most. Without any delay, the veteran said, “Cal”. Despite admitting that Oklahoma is the top-pick as always, she stood up with the California Golden Bears. She explained her reason behind that, “I covered them the second weekend of season and they looked so sharp and impressive and have only gotten better all season long”.  

She continued appreciating the improving team, adding to her statement she said, “Their clean routines and consistency are closest to that of Oklahoma’s and the pure quality of their gymnastics is remarkable”. Johnson Clarke was just right on her pick, and with each performance, Cal is surely raising the bar high.
