Home/Olympics

In the NCAA gymnastics this season, the no. 17 Oregon State Beavers Women’s gymnastics team seems to utilize its home run lately. After facing a defeat from UCLA on February 9 in the home arena, the Beavers promised to stay tall in the upcoming matches. From the last 3 matches, the opponents could vouch for that. The NCAA gymnastics squad roughed up the opponents, keeping the scoreline near the 197 mark. The Washington gymnastics squad became the latest witness of the fiery form the Beavers pack nurtured.

On Friday night, apart from Olympic champion Jade Carey, several faces rose in the black leotard to douse water on Washington’s momentum. Eventually, the scoreboard showed the GymDawgs’ hearty effort as well to stay in the fight.

The astounding slogan, “#GoBeavs” resonated firmly as the post showcased Ariana Young valiantly.

The senior OSU gymnast hyped the night with her 9.775 on the beam exercise. With that, the Sociology grad student prevailed to receive her recognition on Friday night just after the battle. So, in making her recognition night memorable, Jade Carey scored 9.95 in her beam exercise. In the rotation, the reigning Olympic floor exercise champion also baffled the audience with 9.85.
