The 6x NCAA Gymnastics champion Oklahoma started 2024 on a high note. They picked up two best scores against West Virginia and Michigan, at 198.675 and 198.650, respectively. The team recently made another record-breaking score during the 2024 Quad meet. Defeating the Texas Women’s, Pennsylvania, and Clemson on Sunday in Denton, Texas, the No. 1 gymnastics team of the country scored a hat-trick of 198+ in Denton. However, their performance came out most spectacular in of the routines.

It was the balance beam where the team displayed its absolute dominance. While all its gymnasts picked up 9+ scores on the beam, one stood atop, once again, thrashing records.

The 4th of March, Sunday, marked an embellishing win for the Oklahoma Gymnastics team. Winning with a (23-0), it made a striking score total of 198.250. Oklahoma’s gymnast Ragan Smith blazed through the beam routine scoring her fourth consecutive perfect 10 on the beam. Apart from that, it was her ninth career perfect 10 on the beam.

In that achievement, she extended her own record of having the highest number of perfect tens on the beam in the history of Oklahoma gymnastics. She tied the previous record of Maggie Nichols (7) a few weeks back. Her effort was backed well by her teammates.

Audrey Davis made a record of 9.950, Jordan Bowers and Faith Torrez made a 9.90, and Katherine LeVasseur, a 9.925. With a collective score of 49.675 on the beam. The official X handle of Oklahoma Gymnastics marked the occasion with a post. However, that was not the only fireworks the Oklahoma gymnasts produced.

Sophomores Faith Torrez and Ragan Smith dismounted for a 9.90 on the bars. While Junior Jordan Bowers anchored for a 9.925, Senior gymnast, Audrey Davis’s athletic swings almost neared a perfect 10 during the quad meet. Albeit Oklahoma University finished the bars with a leading 49.625, TWU came in second place. Additionally, the floor routine also gathered another 49.475. Now they will look forward to defending a win they secured a few days back.

The story ahead of the Quad-meet, for the OU gymnastics team

The NCAA Gymnastics champions are looking forward to taking over the Arkansas State University gymnastics champions. Scheduled on the 10th of March 2024 at 4:00 pm CT, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the event is waiting to see the No.1 and No.12 clash. The teams had come face-to-face in the Fort Worth event that was held on February 17th, 2024.

The Oklahoma Gymnastics team won the Arkansas clash with a decent 198.300-196.800. Moving forward, it is hopeful that the No.1 team in the country continues to surpass Arkansas once again on the impending March 10.
