On the 18th of April, the NCAA Gymnastics semi-finals commenced. While some teams shone brightly, others, though unable to advance, were still lauded. In a recent match, the Arkansas Razorbacks couldn’t secure victory, yet Anaya Smith’s performance stole the spotlight. In rotation three of the NCAA Gymnastics Championship, LSU asserted dominance, claiming the top spot with a total score of 148.3875.

Close behind, California secured second place with 148.3000 points, while Stanford followed closely in third with 147.8500 points. Bringing up the rear was Arkansas, with a score of 147.2750. Throughout the intense competition, Cal found themselves trailing by -0.87 points, with Stanford and Arkansas in hot pursuit.

Individual competitor Skylar Killough-Wilhelm from Washington showcased her prowess with a team-leading score of 9.925 on bars, ensuring Cal maintained their second-place position. Similarly, individualist Skyla Schulte of Michigan State contributed to Stanford’s third-place standing.

Meanwhile, Arkansas fought to elevate its position from fourth, buoyed by individualist Anaya Smith from Arizona State, whose impressive score of 9.9375 on vault was unmatched by any other competitor. However, while the team didn’t emerge victorious, fans rallied behind Anaya Smith applauding her exceptional performance.
