The LSU Tigers women’s gymnasts clinched the coveted trophy in the National Championship on April 20th, 2024, and since then, the Tigers have been celebrating in full swing. The spotlight is now shining on Olivia Dunne, the standout gymnast who has been an integral part of the Lady Tigers throughout the season.

Dunne’s remarkable presence online has also brought attention to her college life at LSU. This year marked Livvy’s senior year, leading many to believe it was her final run with LSU. However, with one year of eligibility left, Olivia Dunne could come back for another season.

Following her team’s championship victory, Livvy was the star guest on Today.  When asked about her decision to continue another year now that LSU won the 2024 Nation Championship, Livvy shared, “It definitely makes me want to come back, but I haven’t quite thought about it completely.” She added, “I’ve been focused on the now and winning this national title, so I’ll definitely start thinking about it.”

In February, Olivia Dunne took to TikTok to share her sentiments, expressing her enjoyment of the past couple of months at LSU. The 21-year-old reflected on her gymnastics journey, acknowledging that the sport she had dedicated herself to for the past 18 years would soon come to an end in less than two months.

Then, in March, Dunne took to her Instagram stories, posting a picture from the Pete Maravich Assembly Center alongside her fellow LSU gymnasts. The caption read, “ONE LAST RIDE 💜,” indicating the significance of the moment as she neared the end of her collegiate career. Despite her impending graduation, Dunne still has one year of eligibility after joining the program during the pandemic period. But she had her focus on one clear goal.

Livvy’s future extends beyond the confines of gymnastics, as evidenced by her substantial social media presence and partnerships with some of the world’s biggest brands. Despite the allure of potential opportunities beyond gymnastics, Dunne remained focused on her present achievements.

After clinching the SEC championship, Dunne addressed her uncertain future in a press conference, stating, “Yeah, I’ve not decided if I’m coming back for a fifth year yet. I could, but I haven’t really thought about it yet. I’m so focused on the end of this year and bringing home the national championship.” Now, with the national championship title secured, the question lingers: will Olivia Dunne continue her journey for another year with the Tigers?
