While the senior athletes had several significant platforms to express themselves, the juniors lacked such exposure. They had to toil a little extra to attain their senior status before blooming into the professional arena. Thus, the Nastia Liukin Cup came into existence. The USA Gymnastics collaborated with the 2008 Olympic all-around champion, Nastia Liukin. The main purpose of the competition was to provide a launching pad for promising junior athletes to blossom further.

In the initial years, the event was termed as Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup. The very first edition was conducted with thirty-six participants. Later, the event changed its name to Nastia Liukin Cup. To participate, athletes would need to compete and prove their mettle through subsequent events building up to the cup, namely, the Nastia Liukin Cup Series. Like every year, this year too, the event will take place. Here are all the whereabouts of the same.
