The gymnastics and NASCAR worlds recently collided in a surprising twist. It turns out the two-time World Championship gymnastics winner, Jade Carey, is a huge fan of the star driver of JR Motorsports, owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Leaping beyond the boundaries of her sport, the 2020 Olympic Champion on floor exercise had a special message for the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year as he celebrated a new milestone in his career.

Jade Carey took to Instagram stories to wish the No. 7 Chevrolet for JR Motorsport Justin Allgaier. She re-posted a picture from NASCAR with Justin Allgaier that announced, Justin Allgaier wins the 2023 NMPA Most Popular Driver Award in the #XfinitySeries!

Adding her congratulatory wish, Jade Carey wrote in her post, YES with a fire emoji, and she also said, Congrats Justin Allgaier.” This is not the first time Justin Allgaier has won the award and made his team proud.

The Most Popular Driver Award 2023

Justin Allgaier has won the Most Popular Driver Award for an impressive fourth time within the last five seasons, which was first initiated during the 2018 Xfinity Series season. The 2008 ARCA Re/Max Series champion received the title in Nashville, Tennessee, at NASCAR’s banquet.

While Allgaier took home the honor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Chase Elliott won the title in the NASCAR Cup Series, and Hailie Deegan took home the title in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. This triumph also adds another feather to the cap of  JR Motorsports, as they now have 12 NMPA most popular driver awards in their collection.

Fans were excited to see Allgaier back as the most popular driver on the Xfinity circuit, especially after Noah Gragson claimed the honor in 2022. What added an even more exciting surprise was Jade Carey, the Olympic champion, rooting for Allgaier.
