Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. And when that woman is a mother, you better run for your life. As Jordan Chiles finally tries to spend some relaxing time after spending months away from home, it looks like the trolls still aren’t entirely willing to allow her peace of mind. But thankfully, the Olympian’s mom, Gina Chiles is here to keep a lid on things so they don’t spiral out of hands.
Ever since the 2024 Paris Olympics, the 23-year-old gymnastics celebrity has been in the middle of a crossfire with people both standing with and against her. However, naturally, Gina has displayed nothing but unwavering support for her youngest daughter. And now, as the jibes at Jordan keep coming, her mom once again took to the field to tell things as they are.
In her November 15 post on X, the senior Chiles took a dig at her daughter’s critics, reminding them that the trolls should first get on Jordan’s level before sneering at her. In her update, Gina noted that she’s keeping herself restricted from going after anyone on social media. “I’m finding it increasingly difficult to not comment on people’s posts. The amount of times I write and delete is…too many,” she wrote, claiming that it’s her own civilized nature that’s holding Gina back from doing so.

“Let me just say this and ima leave it alone…I hope,” she said with a stern tone, reminding everyone, underscoring that she wouldn’t skip a heartbeat to come to Jordan’s aid. Moreover, she went on to reiterate why Jordan should be beyond reproach. “She has more medals than you have teeth, so there’s that,” Gina snapped bluntly. Once again, she stood firm behind the UCLA star and thwarted attempts to bog her down with harsh words.

As a mother, it’s understandable that Gina doesn’t want to see her daughter let people on the Internet get the better of her without foul comments. However, this certainly isn’t the first time that the Olympic gold medalist found her family on her heels and tried to tell people their place. Instead, the family hailing from Washington has made it evident that they stand by each other in times of trouble, and considering what Jordan had to go through, she could sure use the support!
Jordan Chiles can stand safely behind a defensive family
Stars of Team USA’s gymnastics contingent shone brightly at the City of Love earlier this year. At the 33rd Olympic Games, Simone Biles & Co. won the team gold with style along with multiple personal achievements from several members of the women’s artistic gymnastics squad. Among those, Jordan won bronze in women’s floor exercise as Biles hauled silver in the same event.
However, just five days after that emphatic night, the IOC and the FIG claimed that Chiles’ inquiry didn’t follow the necessary protocols on time restraints, and thus she would need to hand over her hardware to Romania’s Ana Barbosu. Justifiably, Chiles was devastated, but luckily, her teammates and others were quick to show up.

Chiles sister Jazmin and mom Gina were among the most vehement defenders of the gymnast. Jazmin’s fiery posts online rarely sugarcoated things while Gina was aghast at how her daughter was being subjected to mean statements. “My daughter is a highly decorated Olympian with the biggest heart and a level of sportsmanship that is unmatched. And she’s being called disgusting things,” Gina Chiles said.
Chiles’ gymnastics BFF Biles also called for “Justice for Jordan!“: a plea that garnered a lot of support. Democrat Representative Stephen Cohen also wrote a personal letter to the FIG urging them to reconsider the Jordan Chiles issue. However, things didn’t simmer down, and Chiles hasn’t been able to keep the matter away from her head either.

However, her family couldn’t stop thanking the fans who remained by their side during the difficult period. “We see you and appreciate you,” Gina wrote in one of her social media posts. Now, as Jordan waits to make her comeback in the collegiate circuit once again, we hope she’ll have something to keep her mind busy elsewhere. What do you reckon? Tell us in a comment!
