While the world was waiting for the movie to release, Barbie became a common household name. Several brands of, clothing to makeup, came up with their own ‘Barbie’ line, including Forever 21. On the same note, to promote their products, the brand worth $81 million partnered with America’s crush, Olivia Dunne in 2022.

The LSU gymnast and social media whiz has been making waves on the internet for quite a while now. Her potential to go viral is omnipresent, and it is no surprise that Forever 21 would choose Olivia Dunne to increase the reach of their product. Her fans have always been dazzled by her beauteous looks and the real-life Barbie seems like a great choice to flaunt the Barbie line.

Throwback to when Olivia Dunne became a Barbie

In a post she shared on her Instagram profile, the gymnastics star was seen posing in the new ‘Barbie’ collection from Forever 21 released in 2022. The carousel contained two photos, with Olivia Dunne posing as a Barbie in the gym. She wore the trademark Barbiecore pastel light colors and sports shoes. In the caption to the post, she wrote, “#ad Barbie for the day with @forever21”. Currently, Olivia Dunne is the most marketable athlete around.

She has a total of nearly 12 million followers, on Instagram, and TikTok combined. According to sources, she is the highest-paid NIL athlete with a total net worth of around $3.3 million. The LSU star, called ‘Livvy’ by her fans, has always capitalized on her social network following. She has collaborated with multiple brands during her career as an athlete. The Forever 21 Barbie collab was another example of Olivia Dunne’s internet fame. After this brand collaboration, Dunne had another Barbie moment with her friend in New York.

Recently, Olivia Dunne collaborated with a fellow TikTok star, Megan Eugenio. The two influencers re-created a beloved memory by posting a skit in the song ‘Barbie Girl’ by Aqua. While the millionaire NIL athlete played the role of Ken, her fellow influencer played Barbie with an unexpected twist. As expected, the video became viral quickly, garnering 1.3 million views and nearly 150,000 likes in a couple of hours. This was not a surprise, considering the magic that Dunne exerts on her fans.
