The 2024 Paris Olympics are set to be the pinnacle sports event next year. Gymnastics fans around the world await the artistic event scheduled for July 27–August 5, the trampoline events from August 2, and the rhythmic events from August 8–10, 2024. With icons like Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee poised to make a comeback, fans wait for the showdown with bated breath.

And now, in further exciting news, with the journey to Paris 2024 inching closer, USA Gymnastics has hailed six rising stars in a massive honor who have shone brightly, clinching dominance in the sport.

USA Gymnastics honors six members months before the 2024 Olympics

In the latest Instagram post by USA Gymnastics, the federation announced, “We proudly introduce the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame Class of 2024!” The account shared a carousel post with the six winners who belong to the different disciplines within the sport and whose contributions have been lauded in the history books.

The inductees included Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Ivana Hong, Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Alexander “Sasha” Artemev, Jana Bieger of Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, Lifetime Achievement winner Dr. William “Bill” Sands, Trampoline and Tumbling Savannah Vinsant, and Acrobatic Gymnastics Youri Vorobyev. The contribution made by these esteemed members and athletes is worth noting.

The notable achievements of the six hall of fame inductees

Alexander “Sasha” Artemev, a current coach at 5280 Gymnastics in Colorado, has Olympic team bronze, two-time World Championships bronze, and a five-time U.S. champion on his list of achievements. And he has also coached some of the best, including two-time World Championship medalist and four-time U.S. champion Yul Moldauer. The talented Jana Bieger, who is currently coaching at Genie’s Gymnastics in Florida, has achieved accolades such as 2008 Olympic alternate and three-time World Championship silver. Next comes Ivana Hong, who is well known for being the 2008 Olympic alternate and having won two World Championship medals.

Next on the stellar list and who will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award is Dr. William “Bill” Sands, with his significant impact on gymnastics science and education, who has been a longtime professor, sports scientist, and former Director of Research and Development for USA Gymnastics. The next talent in line is Savannah Vinsant, who is the owner of Hangtime TNT Gymnastics in Louisiana and is a 2012 Olympian and three-time U.S. trampoline champion. And lastly, Youri Vorobyev, a notable coach in acrobatic gymnastics, is a coach of multiple world champions and a six-time USAG acrobatic coach of the year.

The six stars will be inducted into the USAG 2024 Hall of Fame Class, and the induction ceremony is set to take place on June 29, just months before the Paris Olympics, in Minneapolis. The event will also be a part of Gymnastics City USA, which includes various gymnastics events and competitions.
