In their latest match, the Chicago Cubs ended up beating the Toronto Blue Jays by 5-4. This win marked their 18th victory in 24 games. Christopher Morel stuck a winning hit in the 9th inning as the Cubs improved to 8-3 in August. Morel’s tie-breaking double hit means that he leads the Cubs with an eighth RBI. But that was not all.

In one of their tweets from the game, the Chicago Cubs also drew parallels between gymnastics sensation Simone Biles and Morel’s winning form. Only recently Biles made her return to elite gymnastics when she won the all-round discipline at Chicago’s NOW Arena during the U.S. Classic. Biles now looks forward to the U.S. Championships later this month. However, days before the championship, Morel’s team sought for the counsel from the gymnast.

The Cubs request an expert’s opinion

As the Cubs vs Blue Jays game went into the ninth inning, Morel made an attempt to reach the plate safely. The tweet shows that the game-winner is stretched to his limit as he ended up splitting at the plate. It was then that the Cubs tweeted, “We call this skill the “9th inning stretch” @Simone_Biles how would you score Morel’s form?”?A funny attempt at comparing the form of the two young and promising athletes.

Simone Biles’ 59.1 all-around score was enough to give her a victory. In fact, she did not even perform her hardest routines and still ended up winning by a margin of more than two points when compared to Rebeca Andrade’s score at last year’s world championships. She also recorded the highest scores in the balance beam event with 14.8, a score of 14.9 on the floor exercise, and a 15.4 score in the vault. What was really astonishing about her performances was that she dominated her return to the mats after almost 2 years of hiatus. As she practices for her future tournaments, Biles was seen supporting her husband in his most recent game.

During the recent preseason game between the Green Bay Packers and the Cincinnati Bengals, Biles was in attendance as she supported her husband Jonathan Owens. Biles often attends her husband’s games whom she married in the month of April. Shortly after their wedding, Owens inked an opulent deal with the Green Bay Packers. Interestingly, as the NFL safety has played his first preseason game against Cincinnati Bengals in Ohio, Biles attended the game in her husband’s number 34 jersey, and she also posted a series of pictures of the game and her husband on Instagram.
