The name Simone Biles is ubiquitous in the sporting world today, so much so that many refer to her as the GOAT of gymnastics. To be this GOAT took her years of hard work in the making, and it did not start off for her on the best of terms. As a child, Simone Biles was put up for adoption and went in and out of foster care. It wasn’t until her grandmother Nellie Biles, and her husband Ronnie Biles, adopted her as their legal child, Biles had a permanent home. On this Mother’s Day, she thanks her mother, Nellie Biles for all she has done for her.

Simone Biles, in association with the brand Athleta, put out a Mother’s Day post yesterday to show appreciation for her mother Nellie Biles. The new bride owes much of her success to her support and encouragement.
