Khoi Young, the 2023 World two-time silver medalist, and Stanford gymnastics standout found no escape to it either. Having conquered the stages of the NCAA and the international alike, the 21-year-old showcased his athletic excellence in one such phenomenon as he took on a challenge with a twist.

Khoi Young arrived with fellow Cardinal, Ian Gunther on Nile Wilson’s YouTube gymnastics episode. “Joining Stanford Gymnastics,” he titled the content as the two athletes joined Wilson in trying out numerous gymnastics moves presented on social media. “Elite gymnasts vs Instagram,” he named it. Following a couple of rounds, the team of three stumbled upon hand stand push-ups by an assumed 8-year-old on a bar. “We are gonna try in on uneven bars. We got this easy,” Nile remarks. However, with the first try, the gymnasts’ realize it is not what Nile claimed.

On the first try, while Ian gets one and Khoi Young gets 2, Nile Wilson stops for a zero. But by the time they return for another go, the handstand brings up a 4 for Ian and an impressive 5 for the Worlds 3-time medalist. Khoi Young’s challenge further offered the firm form he stands to adorn with NCAA gymnastics season and Olympic year in precedence.

The gymnast’s form so far

Khoi Young started his gymnastics season with the Stanford Cardinals in the first NCAA meet against CAL. The roster swept the season opener for 413.800-388.200 with Khoi Young leading on Pommel Horse for 14.850. He further scored 12.800 on the floor, 13.500 on the vault, and 14.100 on the parallel bars. Khoi’s further schedule included 3 more wins with the Cardinals, receiving a co-title on vault in the latest meet. Following all of it, while the team headed to the Winter Cup to earn a spot in the National team, Khoi Young with his 2023 Worlds teammates headed to Cottbus.
