Jordan Chiles had a grand birthday bash yesterday. Although originally, Chiles’ birthday was on April 15, she could not celebrate the same due to her engagements. Her post-birthday bash included the likes of Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens. But the biggest surprise for Chiles came in the form of his mother. Looking to overwhelm her daughter, Jordan Chiles’ mom came up with a special gift for her. 

Chiles was already beaming with happiness surrounded by her loved ones on her special day. But once she unwrapped the present from her mother, Chiles was dumbfounded. She initially did not know how to react. After a few moments, Chiles had an urge to scream at the top of her voice. 

Jordan Chiles receives shoes worth £404 from mother

Well, as it turns out, the gift Chiles’ mother bought was a special edition Nike Air Force 1 LXX. Costing a whopping £404.95, the pair is customized with exclusive Swarovski crystals. Unable to contain her excitement, Chiles uploaded the picture on her Instagram story. The caption caught her adrenaline rush on point as it read, “Yall look what my mom did!!! I’m screaming @swarovski x @nike”

Chiles has all the reasons to be jumping up and down after receiving the beauties. These are the same pair of shoes that were worn by none other than the famous rapper, Lil Baby. Back in March 2022, Lil Baby was spotted at an NBA game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets. 

Apart from his luxurious Louis Vuitton jacket and studded jeans, the rapper shocked everyone as he sported the latest Nike Air Force 1LXX. Although the shoes were originally meant to be female silhouettes, Baby’s inclination towards luxury and fashion made him customize one for him. However, there are more intricacies to the Jordan Chiles-owned shoes than meets the naked eye. 

All about the Nike-Swarovski collaboration 

Back in 2021, Nike decided to take things up a notch by collaborating with Swarovski. For the uninitiated, we are looking at a 127-year-old heritage brand from Austria, renowned for supplying some of the finest crystals in the world. Together, they took the Nike Air Force 1 and turned it into an LXX. And the upgrades? Well, for starters, the shoes will have 228 of the finest, retro-reflective crystals embedded into the pair. What’s more, one can add, remove, and even customize the crystals according to their will anytime. 

Excited by the collaboration, the then Director of Nike’s Women’s Footwear, Marie Crow stated, “With this partnership, we have explored the limits of the impossible to shine, reflect, and innovate through design, production, and development.” Thus, now we know that Jordan Chiles’ scream of disbelief was legit. And now, it will be Chiles’ turn to return back the favor to her mother via a sublime performance in Paris.
