Jordan Chiles won her first individual Olympic medal only to lose it in the most dramatic fashion. The trauma the entire ordeal brought drove the gymnast into solitude. However, the 23-year-old gymnastics star is finally moving on from her heartbreak one step at a time. Making her runway debut at the New York Fashion Week has been one such step and a massive one at that.
Not only did fans not expect the gymnast to make her fashion show debut, but her elegance impressed everyone including Gina Chiles. “My baby walked in NYFW!! Jordan I hope you can see The powerful message you are sending in this picture,” wrote the Olympian’s mother while sharing her daughter’s pictures from the Kim Shui Fashion show.
“You are 5 feet tall and you represent so much to everyone who was told they didn’t fit the standard. YOU break standards and make people believe in the impossible! You are beautiful & closing out the show and then leading everyone out was INCREDIBLE!” added Gina Chiles as she showed Jordan Chiles leading the entire ensemble of models from the front.

The 23-year-old’s mother also thanked the brands who helped the gymnast break new ground. “@kimshui thank you and @nike for an incredible night! See it…achieve it!” Gina Chiles added. The all-around team gold medalist strutted down the runway for the first time at the Kim Shui Spring 2025 ready-to-wear. However, you probably won’t get your hand on what the Olympian wore.

Jordan Chiles shredded up in an elegant glossy silver leotard-inspired dress with blue floral designs. Royal blue vines and leaves wrapped around the entire dress, which also sported flowers. The gymnast paired the Kim Shui dress with matching white Nike sneakers with silver accents. “What a dream to walk in my 1st NYFW show!” the gymnastics icon wrote on Instagram.
“It was an honor to wear this majestic @kimshui design. I will never forget this experience,” the Pan-Am Games gold medalist added. After this unforgettable experience, Chiles will soon embark on another with the Gold Over America Tour. However, her ordeal with the Paris Olympics Bronze medal controversy may not be over.

Jordan Chiles’ Paris Olympics controversy is in limbo
The Court of Arbitration for Sports stripped Jordan Chiles of her bronze medal and awarded it to Romania’s Ana Barbosu. The verdict left the Team USA star devastated, as she took a break from social media. However, just as all doors seemed to have closed, the Romanian Gymnastics Federation showed the way. The RGF challenged the CAS verdict at the Swiss Supreme Court (TSE) on August 26. Why? Besides Chiles, it also ruled out Romanian gymnast Sabrina Maneca Voinea’s appeal in one fell swoop.

This action prompted the Swiss Federal Tribunal to invite all parties to settle the issue. The RGF posted about the development on social media and extended their invitation to USA Gymnastics, IOC, and the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). However, none of the authorities have made any announcement regarding Jordan Chiles’ case since RGF’s post.
While it’s not uncommon for such complex cases to take a long time to resolve, the 23-year-old isn’t holding her breath. The initial blow and the online criticism labeling Chiles undeserving took its toll on the gymnasts. Now, Jordan Chiles looks ready to put everything behind her. The NYFW appearance conveys her message loud and clear.
