In an Instagram story, Sammi Biles, shared a heart-breaking update. She re-shared a post from former football quarterback Tim Tebow.

In the picture, there was a small baby wrapped up in warm clothes and a blanket. However, the caption of the post revealed a somber story. It read, ?It?s crushing to say this isn?t uncommon but wanted to share it so that you can see reality, and be praying for some of the Most Vulnerable People around the world.” The post further recounts a recent incident involving the Impact Africa team in South Africa, where they discovered a lifeless baby abandoned on the ground.

Sammi Biles re-shared the post with crying emoticons and joined hands, and wrote alongside this story, ?Join us in prayer- Heartbreaking?.? Sammi has in the past come out in public with her struggles of conceiving her baby Ronni Biles. Ronni Biles was conceived via IVF. However, this wasn’t about Ronni Biles, but as a mother, she probably connected with the photo and the gut-wrenching story it said.

Tim Tebow shared a story from their partners at Impact Africa about how they welcomed a new baby into the Tim Tebow Foundation Promise House after she was safely left in one of their baby safes. Simultaneously, he also informed about another abandoned baby they found, even though it was tragically too late. He spoke about the incident where, in Johannesburg, a community member came looking for someone from their team who lived nearby and narrated the horrifying tale.

Tim Tebow shed light on the stark reality

In his post, Tim Tebow stated, “Our representative hurried to find a fully developed baby lying on the ground in the middle of a walkway. The little unclothed body was peeking out of a plastic bag. When she took a closer look, she realized that it was too late?the baby showed no signs of life, and it was unclear how long the little one had been abandoned on the ground”. He further wrote how this heart-breaking incident is, sadly, not uncommon.

According to Tebow, it is estimated that over three babies are abandoned every single day in Johannesburg, South Africa. Many are left on the streets, in toilets, and in dumpsters. In a final plea, he asked followers to join in prayer for the dedicated team at Impact Baby Rescue, who tirelessly provide counseling, education, and care for mothers and babies each day.

In the wake of this incident, Sammi Biles’s reshare of the post shows her empathy towards extending a helping hand to the vulnerable, shedding light on the stark realities that exist.
