According to reports, the parts hit by the relentless rainfall have already recorded 500% of their average monthly rainfall. There have been more warnings of such storms and rainfalls. Frustrated by the entire situation, locals of the affected area are desperately looking for things to come back to normal. 

However, the residents are not the only ones facing problems. The severe storms have also resulted in delays in flights. A significant number of flights were cancelled which caused harassment to a lot of passengers. Among them was Gabby Douglas. With the Core Hydration Classics just hours ago, she is facing the threat of withdrawing from the competition without even reaching there. After hearing about the disruptions in the normal operations of the flights, Gabby Douglas suffered a legit scare. Echoing similar sentiments, she took to her Instagram story and wrote, “Flight got cancelled and now stuck in dallas 😭😭 help!!!!!”

Well, Douglas has every reason to be tense. As per the reports coming in, both the airports in Dallas- Dallas Love Field Airport and the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport suffered extensive disruptions. The authorities took to the X account and mentioned, “Storms are currently causing flight disruptions at DAL. Stay informed about flight delays and cancellations by contacting your airline directly.” Thus, amidst all the chaos, is there a way how Gabby Douglas can reach the Core Hydration Classics? 

Well, there is a way. According to some users on Reddit, Douglas can reach her destination via the airports in New England. Others stated that the flights to New York City were already operational and could easily transport the Olympian to her desired location. Apart from these two alternatives, Boston is also quite a short drive from NYC. Thus, things do not look as bleak as they appear to. And for Gabby Douglas, it is very important to make it to the event in time.

Gabby Douglas made a stupendous statement at the 2024 American Classics. Douglas came out in flying colors with most doubting her abilities to match the top-tier competition. Returning to mainstream gymnastics after eight years, Douglas made the top ten in the all-around discipline right away. Accumulating 50.650 points, Douglas ended at number 10, which was quite impressive. 

She then shocked the world as she almost toppled Jade Carey in the vault. The 2012 all-around Olympic champion scored 14.00 to come second while Carey managed 14.200 to sneak in a victory. Thus, with confidence rising, Douglas is extremely hopeful for a victory at the Core Hydration Classics. Pitted against the likes of Suni Lee and Simone Biles, Douglas must win in order to prove her naysayers wrong. With the event now knocking at the door, the only thing that her fans are praying for is that somehow Gabby Douglas must reach the Core Hydration Classics.
