Behind gymnastics queen Simone Biles and Shannon Miller, Alexandra Rose Raisman or Aly Raisman stands as the third most decorated American gymnast in Olympics history. After achieving everything possible to win, Raisman bid farewell to gymnastics in 2020. In a recent interview, the two-time Olympian opened up on her mental health journey.
Although Raisman has had a quite illustrious career, she has had her low moments as well. After having a bittersweet reunion with Biles earlier last month, the retired gymnast has now opened up on mental health, sharing the story of her breakups with therapists.

Raisman was recently speaking on the podcast, I’m Fine, You? with writer and mental health advocate Chrissy Rutherford. “I’ve had one experience, where one wasn’t okay with it”, Raisman revealed. However, the Olympic Champion added that she found out that it was unprofessional. “But I found her to be, now that I know more and have better boundaries from doing more therapy, incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional”, she added.
Raisman boasts a highly successful gymnastics career and undoubtedly ranks among the top gymnasts of all time. She is an eight-time US National Champion, and a three-time World Champion as well. While Raisman was a teammate of Simone Biles during the 2016 Olympics, the two didn’t have a happy-duppy reunion recently.
