But these 9 months of marital life went by reminiscing about one special day, while ignoring hate around their togetherness.

On April 22, 2023, the 26-year-old promised to usher in more seasons together with her husband in an official vow exchange ceremony. But they threw an extravagant wedding bash in Mexico a few weeks later. Even now, their glamorous, unconventional wedding is the talk of the town. Capped off the post as “The best celebrity weddings from 2023 are about to leave their mark in 2024.” Hate comments of fans and the brewing controversy may have fallen on deaf ears, as Simone Biles shared this post in her story. Why? That’s because she features in this compilation video as one of trendsetters.

The video features the celebrities who dared to think out of the box and brainstormed with their event planners for a one-of-a-kind show. Alongside big names of US TV personalities, Hannah Godwin and Sofia Richie, Biles stole the show with her colossal presence. But what was the unique factor of her wedding? Like some celebrities opting for “no bouquet down the aisle”, the Olympian opted for “3 arches instead of 1” in a surreal setting. Even though the fans had several spiteful comments about Jonathan Owens being the ‘catch’, his wife stood strong as a shield.

Biles’ being her husband’s strongest supporter

On the ‘I didn’t know who she was’ remark of Owens on ‘The Pivot’ podcast, Simone Biles’ fans almost lost their cool. Further on, when he commented, “I always say that men are the catch [in a relationship”, their fury doubled. But the Olympian kept aside her coolheaded being and threw a direct question to her fans, “Are y’all done yet?” But this was not all from her end. When Randolph Channing Crowder playfully praised Biles’ supremacy over her husband, she had the perfect reply.

She unabashedly commented, “…you know what, in a couple of years, nobody is going to call him, Simone Biles’ husband. They’ll call me Jonathan Owens’ wife.” No matter how many lashes the couple get hit with, they promised to stand by each other through all odds.
