On day one of the Selection Camp for the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, the highest-scoring all-around athlete secured a coveted spot on the six-member team. But as always, the American gymnast did not step back in sharing her joy on social media once again.

Simone Biles, mere hours after clinching her place in the US Gymnastics World Championship team at the selection camp, took to Instagram to share a historic moment with her fans and followers. Her Instagram story was a repost of a post by Team USA and USA Gymnastics, celebrating her as the “ONLY U.S. WOMAN IN HISTORY SELECTED TO COMPETE AT SIX WORLD ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS.”

In her story, the American superstar added her own heartfelt ten words, “Back to where it all started, see you soon Belgium,” followed by emotional emojis and a heart. She continued writing from “2013 to 2023”, with a shaking hands emoji between the dates.

Despite facing challenges, she emerged as the all-around champion, with the highest score finishing with 55.700 points—0.400 points ahead of the reigning world silver medallist, Shilese Jones, who secured 55.300. This adds another jewel to her crown, coming after she clinched her 8th national title at the Nationals just last month.
